I found out about this campground fro family, and I tent camped there in July 2006.

Describe your camping trip:

I've been to this campground several times. As a child my father would take us back into the "bush" in this area to really camp (no bathrooms). We just loved it. Since his passing my sister found this campground, and we continue the tradition (except with bathrooms). I since turned my friend and her children on to this campground, and we go back every July. It is a beautiful, peaceful, clean campground with a camp store, lake beach, boat rentals, fishing, playgrounds and trails.
Pros: I enjoy the peacefulness and the campfire at night.

Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Yuengling Brewery offers tours and has a gift shop.

Further comments:

May I suggest the peanut butter cup ice cream, it's out of this world.

"The lake is beautiful but I would not recommend this campground for large family reunions. The sites are small. Rangers can be rude. Conversation around campfire had to stop by 9:15. My parents are in their late sixties and had traveled three hours to sit and catch up with their children for a nice weekend. It was very disappointing."
