Huckleberry Tent and Breakfast, Clark Fork, IdahoCampground Review from JeanieGuide Rating - ![]() I found out about this campground from their Web site, and I tent cabin camped there in May 2007. Describe your camping trip:My campground had a big canvas tent with a queen size bed, woodstove, rugs, a cedar chest, wood plank floors, lantern, a porch with chairs and even flowers. There was a separate screened camp kitchen with water served from an old fashioned hand water pump. Hotplate, sink, pans, utensils, a table, storage full of spices, a picnic basket and little extras. We had a private camp shower, outhouse, campfire, grate and chairs. We were served breakfast each day on the deck where we could watch the hummingbirds. We even went canoeing on the pond and got pictures of a moose, some deer, squirrels, eagles and herons.Pros: This is what I call comfortable camping. Private spot, all the luxuries of home, and extremely gracious hosts. The whole place makes you want to pack up and move to the country. Cons: none Nearby attractions: We went boating on lake Pend Oreille and walked on tons of nature trails. We went hiking on Scotchman Peak. Fishing and swimming in the Clark Fork River. We drove to Ross Cedars and through some of the Chain of Lakes. We even rented horses at a nearby ranch. Further comments:This is a true vacation away from the bustles of life in the city. Wildlife is plentiful as well as clean fresh air. Everywhere you look there are lakes, creeks, rivers and gorgeous views. |
