Describe your camping trip:
Cons: none
From David Sweet, former About.com Guide
Located along side of a busy road & you can hear the traffic throughout. The campground overlooks swamp and marsh making the mosquitos & view horrible. Campsites are so jammed together that family dinners outside are uncomfortable so eating and cooking inside our RV was better. On the Holiday (Labor Day) campers on the site next to us organized a corn hole tournament, since the campground offered NO activities (a rusty park and small pool for children). At 10:10 pm the owner of the campground came to area where this was going on & instead of reminding everyone that ""quiet hours"" were @ 10 pm professionally, he began ranting and insulting everyone, threatening that he was kicking everyone out, while pointing in faces. He continued to demean the adults and threaten campers. Then he looked at me, who incientally did and said NOTHING the entire time & threatened me for ""Looking at Him"". My husband & I were so appalled by the lack of professionalism & the conditions of the campground that we immediately said goodbye to the people we had come up to camp with, packed up & left. I was in tears from the humilliation as I packed in the dark. We have camped alot of places both tent & RV, in multiple states, never has either one of us been so disgusted & appalled by a situation. Do not go to this campground! There are MULTIPLE OTHER CAMPGROUNDS in the area (Irish Hills) that are both beautiful & welcoming.
