I found out about this campground through a co-worker, and I cabin camped there in June 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

Campground has large pool with plenty of deck chairs and umbrellas, large camp store with snack bar (hot pizza and other hot menu items and ice cream!) and groceries. Cabins available as well as tent, RV and popup sites. Large rally field and outdoor movie theater. Pond (can't swim in it but can fish) and two playgrounds - one for smaller children and one for larger kids. Indoor lodge for activities during bad weather and small arcade and covered picnic area. Many comfort stations (bathrooms and showers). Rental pedal carts and golf-type carts, although a bit pricey.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and easy to find for help. Very clean campground and bathrooms and cabins. Cable hookup for those who can't live without TV. Many activities for small kids. Beautiful country drive to get there (lots of farms and animals to see - we saw cows, goats, wild turkeys and even ostriches along the way). We had some rainy days, but it didn't cause us any trouble - there was still so much to do.

Cons: Can't swim in the (very small) lake. Many miles to other activities. Pool was not heated. We had weather in the seventies during our stay, so the pool was too cold for our toddlers for the majority of our stay.
Nearby attractions: Philadelphia Please Touch Museum (about 30 minute drive), Wildwood Boardwalk (about 1 hour drive).

Further comments:

This was our first time staying in a cabin, and I have to say the cabin was incredibly clean and spacious. We stayed in the lodge - 3 adults and 3 kids and we had plenty of room for more people. They say it holds 8 people max. It was really like being in a hotel. We felt very spoiled since we went early in the season and the campground was fairly empty, although by the time we checked out many more sites were being set up. The staff was very young but very nice, and they treated us like gold. There was a full day of activities throughout the campground for the kids. Plus we found things to do on our own like whiffle ball and kite-flying in the rally area. We will definitely stay here again.
