I had visited this park once before on a day trip, and I RV camped there in June 2007.
Describe your camping trip:
This state park is absolutely beautiful from the moment you turn into the entrance. The entire park is covered in woods with curvy, hilly roads winding through the park. There are many activities to keep you busy including an olympic size swimming pool with a children's wading pool, hiking trails, mountain bike trails, Twin Caves boat tour (only $3 adults and $1 kids 10 and under), Donaldson Cave you can explore on your own, a Pioneer Village that has been there since the 1800's with people dressed in character making and selling items from that time period (no charge to enter the village) it has a working Grist Mill and demonstrations, along the path to the village is a great shallow creek that all kids love to play in, a Nature Center and fishing are also available.
Pros: The campground had two nice playgrounds and sites both wooded and out in the open for larger groups wanting room for activities. The wooded sites were not too close together, and most all of them had some woods or bushes separating them from the next site, which gave some privacy. Very nice campground to take walks through and ride bikes.
Cons: Our shower house (near site 19) was not the best that I've seen nor the worst. The showers particulary needed some remodeling. They really needed new shower heads, and the tile along the bottom was all broke off. Also, one drawback is that you do have to drive to the activities throughout the park. They are not within walking distance to the campground, however it's a beautiful scenic drive.

Further comments:
We particulary liked sites 7, 8, 19, 75 and 76, all in the woods and very shaded. Sites 8, 75 and 76 all were large enough for a bigger group of people and afforded some privacy. These sites are definitely not out in the open.
