I found out about this campground from a friend, and I RV camped there in March 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

A nice clean well maintained park. A few full hook ups with the rest electric only. There are a few cozy cabins with electric only also. Clean bathrooms and showers. Easy access to Prairie Lake with two docks that have multiple slips to keep your boat. Prairie Lake is a good fishing lake with bass, muskie, bluegill, redear and crappie. Popular in the fall with deer hunters/turkey hunters. Camp hosts are very friendly and have ice and bait available from them. Level camping spots and close water spigots.
Pros: Level spots that are spaced nicely, convenience to lake, well-maintained, clean, friendly hosts, playground, family friendly, a nice place.

Cons: The trees need to grow, and then it will be nicely shaded.
Nearby attractions: Springfield, IL and Abe Lincoln sights, Lincoln's New Salem State Park, small towns with lots to offer nearby (antiques, food, shops).

Further comments:

I think a nice place to camp.
