I have been going to this campground since I was a child. My grandparents took me there every summer. I tent camped there in June 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

This is absolutely my favorite place to go camping. It is beautiful here. Well maintained. Always peaceful and quiet. I have been to other campgrounds where the noise level of other campers was distracting and made for an awful trip. Every single time I have come, crowded or not, it has been quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The camp store is really cute, and we enjoy going there every time just to look at the neat stuff. Floating on the river is a lot of fun. They have a few hiking trails for those that love hiking. Cabins for those who don't like tent camping. Beautifully maintained cabins.
Pros: Everything. The relaxing, peaceful, quiet atmosphere. They have a playground for kids when they're tired of swimming or fishing. Basketball goals, picnic areas for day trips, a great restaurant, great campground store with good prices. People are always nice and helpful. They also have nature classes and arts and craft classes for children to go to, which are always fun. Sometimes a show and stories. Hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, and beautifully maintained campsites. Love it.

Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Clearwater Lake is nearby, as well as Wappapello. Also Peidmont, about 15 minutes away, offers restaurants and Walmart for shopping needs.

Further comments:

I've been going for 15 years plus now and love it. Number one choice for me.
