My friends are the owners. They lived in Michigan and moved to Tennessee and bought the campground. I cabin camped there in June 2007.
Describe your camping trip:
The campground itself is very beautiful. There are many sights to see with the water falls, hiking trails, glow worms, fish in the pond, or as they would call it a lake, swim in their built-in pool. You can rent a cabin, bring a tent, rent the tee pee or bring a camper.
Pros: John and Kay are outstanding hosts. They are involved with their guests and cook over an open fire in a cast iron pot. There are many sights to see on the campground itself, or you can hike the trails through Big South Fork. There was so much to see that we didn't get to go see everything.
Cons: Nothing, my entire trip was great. I will go back again and possibly in the fall.

Nearby attractions: Big South Fork, hiking trails
Further comments:
My friends here in Michigan plan on going again next year. We had a group of 10 or so people and next year more are planning on going. It would nice to be able to see it in the fall as well. Kay and John have many activities planned throughout the year to go with the different seasons, and I would like to be there to experience their success at Cherokee Ridge.
