I have camped here for years, both tent and renting their cabins. I tent camped here in July 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

My family and another family went tent camping here 7/13-7/15/07. They put us on sites smack dab in the middle of a group of motorcycle rally campers (probably 200+ bikers). They were up into the wee hours of the morning with their band and then revving their motorcycle engines at 6am Sunday morning. The park did nothing to accommodate our two families consisting of four adults and five children. They did everything to accommodate these motorcycle guests. They also shut down their camp restaurant, ball field and bouncy houses to accommodate their chicken BBQ. I have stayed at this park several times over the years, but I will no longer include it in our list of stops. When I tried to complain upon check-out, a comments flyer was thrown in my face, and I was told to fill it out and mail it back.
Pros: Nothing this time around.

Cons: Campground catered to 200+ bikers while all the other families camping there suffered. It was Christmas in July and Santa ignored my five year old when she tried to say hello. He literally turned around and walked away. Housekeeping tried to kick me out of the bathroom to clean as I was stepping out of the shower. Ice cream window was shut in our faces in the middle of an order, because it was closing time. I could not speak with a manager to complain about our bad experience.
Nearby attractions: Lake George Village, Six Flags Great Escape.

Further comments:

This was my worst camping experience ever.
