I found out about this campground on the Internet, and I tent camped there in June 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

Small campground with three loops, some cabins available. Tented for one week.
Pros: The staff was very friendly, the showers extra clean. There is a very nice beach, boat rental area and concession area. Very quiet at night and relaxing.

Cons: Very rural. Nearest decent sized town is 25 miles. Town folks are not as friendly. No camp store. Poor reservation system.
Nearby attractions: You have to drive a long way. Appomattox Courthouse National Historical Park is about 1/2 hour away. Everything else at least one hour.

Further comments:

The campground is great, but if you want to camp and go to attractions, you have to be ready to drive.
