I found out about this campground in the Trailer Life Directory, and I RV camped there in July 2007.
Describe your camping trip:
We stopped in for a few nights and ended up spending five. The park is clean and well-maintained, and the owners couldn't be nicer. They really made us feel at home and gave us great advice about all of the things to do here. We never knew that the Rawlins, WY area was so interesting. We went for a nice hike in the hills right behind the campground, took a long scenic drive through the Medicine Bow forest, toured the historic Old Wyoming State Penitentiary, and strolled along the beautiful North Platte River.
Pros: Enclosed pool. Miniature golf (free). Free Wi-Fi. Friendly owners and staff. Large, level pull-through sites. Your choice of site services from dry-camping through full hook-ups with cable.
Cons: none
Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Old Wyoming State Penitentiary, Medicine Bow forest, Saratoga Hot Springs, golf, fishing or rafting the North Platte River, hiking and ATV trails.
Further comments:
We really enjoyed our stay and were pleasantly surprised at all of the wonderful things to do in the area.
