This campground is nearby my home, and I tent camped there in July 2006.
Describe your camping trip:
We went there for family camping with young children over a weekend. Both wooded and more open sites on the inside of the circles. Clean facilities.
Pros: I prefer wooded sites, so that appealed to me. Great nature program for kids - hunted for frogs one day, crayfish the next, with educational programs attached to both. Nice swimming area great for kids and adults. Hiking trails.
Cons: A number of swing set skeletons - old bones but no swings. Tends to make for whiny kids. Snack bar at beach area seemed to close too early.

Nearby attractions: Carousels of Binghamton, shopping in Binghamton/Vestal/Johnson City area.
Further comments:
This is a great campground that we will return to many times. The campground has bat houses and at dusk you can hike there to watch the bats drop, which is a great experience.
