I found out about this campground from a travel book, and I RV camped there in June 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

Broken Arrow is a new campground in the Black Hills with 20-50 amps at each site. It has large sites that accommodated our 45-foot rig, and it's only five minutes to Custer. We went there in our motor home.
Pros: This is a wonderful campground, quiet, no highway noise, no train tracks. Great views, big sites and close to Black Hills attractions. We enjoyed the owners Larry and Geri Gustafson. They see you to your site and make sure everything is fine, and the nightly ice cream socials were fun. We were going to stay for for a few days, but ended up staying for a week.

Cons: No fire grills at 10 of the 15 full hook ups.
Nearby attractions: Nearby attractions: Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, Jewel and Wind Cave, Mammoth site, 4 mile Old West Town, 1880 Train.

Further comments:

I would recommend this campground. It has the cleanest bathrooms with large showers that never run out of hot water. Large sites, relaxed atmosphere.

If you're not a horse person DON'T stay here.August 04, 2009By CraftyGram53
"When we arrived, one of the bathrooms was nasty from plugged up plumbing. Because of the manure from the horses, the flies were thick. Between the manure smell and the foul odor coming from the campsite septic, the odor was nauseating and the horses whinnying woke us up bright & early every morning. Not a very relaxing vacation. If you are a horse person, I think you may consider this campground. However, we will not stay there when we come back next year."
