I found out about this campground on their Web site, and I RV camped there in July 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

while looking for a site to meet and camp with family from Georgia, I ran accross Deer Run. This was a great place to camp with family and kids. They had large campsites, plenty of room, lots of family activities around the campground including fishing (large clean lake), swimming, bike riding, playground and a great place to just set and relax.
Pros: Gated campground, large sites, great campground staff, great location, easy to come and go, close to downtown and other area attractions. Cabins are also available on the lake.

Cons: Only bad thing, we could not stay longer and had to go back home.
Nearby attractions: Shopping, good restaurants, playhouse, near Knoxville and Smoky Mountains.

Further comments:

This is a great family campground, just about everything you want from gated community to some of the best family fun available. We will go back soon and often.
