I found out about this campground on the Internet, and I RV camped there in August 2007.
Describe your camping trip:
The campground could best be described as a winery with campsites. The campground itself is in poor shape with big ditches in roads and nothing to do unless you like to fish or swim. The week we stayed there were no other campers except for one or two couples in cabins. They have about five permanent sites, and no one was there either. The basketball court is in the middle of a field that had not been cut, and the tennis courts were overgrown with trees that had grown up through the cracks. They advertise a banquet hall, but it is not open except for banquets. There is no camp store or planned activities for anyone. There are no playground facilities for kids, and they have one canoe they said was operable. At night they have very few lights, and the bathrooms are not very clean. This is the worst campground I have ever camped in for my 25 years of camping.Pros: Swimming pool was very large and in good shape. The fishing in the river was said to be good.
Cons: Just about everything: rude management, rough roads, no playground, tennis courts and basketball courts unuseable, restrooms unclean, poor night time lighting, only one water faucet for two campsites, poor garbage pick-up.

Nearby attractions: Robert E. Lee's birthplace and Washington's birthplace were about a half hour away. Westmoreland County has a beautiful park and campground that is much cheaper and has many camping facilities and a great deal cheaper.
