By David Sweet, About.com

I found out about this campground on the Internet, and I RV camped there in July and August 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

We have been going to Sundance for the past three years. It is probably the friendliest place in the area. We love the camp spots by the creek. The area is shady and roomy.
Pros: Camp spot number 9 is my favorite. It is roomy and close to the creek. It is a well kept campground. The owner has planted several trees to make the property more shady. I have camped at several campgrounds, and this is our favorite. We are going back in October for a week stay.

Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Bonito Lake, Inn of the Mountain Gods Casino, Billy the Kid Casino, Ruidoso Downs Race Track, Smokey the Bear Museum, Lincoln New Mexico, Billy the Kid Museum.

Further comments:

I would highly recommend Sundance to any one that is planning a trip to Ruidoso. It is conveniently located and easy to find.
