I have been going there every year since I was a little girl. Fifty years of experience. I tent camped there in July 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

The camp has stayed as clean and comfortable as it was 50 years ago. The sites are geared for whatever type of camping you like. Wooded sites for those who like their privacy. The pines are open and roomy under the stars. If the water is something that helps you relax like me, there are several areas where you can do just that. The lake is clean and refreshing. There's swimming, fishing and boating just a few short steps away and roped off safe areas for the children. There is a lifeguard on duty, so we grammas have limited heart attacks, and we can enjoy watching new memories in the making.
Pros: They have daily activities for all, a game room and outdoor movies.

Cons: They have security patols on duty, but there are always those who go a little to fast and children on there bikes that don't always watch where they're going.
Nearby attractions: Many beaches for anyone's taste, dining, amusement centers, waterslides, miniature golf, movies and best of all going to the docks as the boats pull in to get their catch of the day and stop by one of the many farms for vegetables and have a great clam bake back at your site. Don't forget the great weekend flea market just minutes away.

"This park USED to be a large, well run & clean place by the ocean, but no more. After not 1 but now a second bad experience there I feel obligated to warn people away. There's a no alcohol policy NOT ENFORCED, (we were kept awake all night by a drunken group of young men who were playing with lighter fluid & then wandered into our site to steal wood. No one kicked them out after being called). As well as drunks screaming for their car keys & wallets at 1 am and tire screeching speeders late at night, etc. Half the showers available were busted and the toilets are backed up and also filthy. If you are a family looking for a clean, drunk free camping experience look elsewhere. It's too bad - it was once a nice area."
