I found out about this campground while browsing through Web sites, and I RV camped there in August 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

Huge sandy beaches, shallow heated pool for the kids, great fire truck drawn hay rides around the campground, ice cream socials with yummy toppings, quiet at night. What a great place to take your family on the Saco River. We kayaked one morning about five miles and fished and swam every day. All the restaurants were on the doorstep, and there was so much to do in the area during the day. I made bookings for 2008 before I left. Huge campsites down by the river with shade and covered picnic tables. Loved every minute of it and would highly recommend it to anyone. Long pull through sites with 50 amp electric and cable TV for the big rigs also. No pets in the height of the season, but OK in Sept and Oct. Try it out for yourself. I'll probably see you there.
Pros: Lots of open space. Huge playground and ballfield. Huge sandy beaches. Very quiet at night time. Enforced the 11:30pm fires out - loved that.

Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Loads of restaurants and family attractions, Storyland, Conway Scenic Railroad, Santa's Village, Cog Railway, Mt. Washington Auto Road, Polar Caves, Clark's Trading Post, Attitash Water Slides, lots of miniature golf and shopping galore.

Further comments:

Loved it, definitely going back again.
