I found out about this campground by word-of-mouth, and I RV camped there in March and April 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

The campground was very clean with lots of space, beautiful trees, well paved roads and very clean bath houses.
Pros: The rangers and camp hosts were very informative, helpful and friendly.

Cons: no electric hook-ups.
Nearby attractions: town of Albemarle with good shops.

Further comments:

This is a wonderful family oriented campground with tons of great outdoor fun that everyone in the family will enjoy. I will be going back in October for the awesome Halloween fun for the whole family.

We camped here in March, 2009. They now have electric sites. Very nice, large campsites. Wooded and pretty private. Very nice and helpful camp hosts and helpful rangers patrol the park frequently. We have a pop up camper, and the water supply was not on site, but very conveniently located to our site. Nice hiking trails and lakes. Lots of nature spotted. Deer roam up to the campground every morning and evening. A beaver dam was seen, eagles, ducks. Very nice, quiet family campground. Very clean, heated bath houses.
