I found out about this campground from a billboard on the road, and I RV camped there in September 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

Brand new campground, opened spring of 07. Very sunny weekend, new campground no shade. Tough biking, mostly heavy gravel roads, main roads blacktopped. People very friendly, nice campstore. Since we were there in the off season, it wasn't too crowded. They said next year they will have putt-putt golf, another pool and a splash park for kids 10 and under. They also plan on adding another 300 sites.
Pros: New, clean heated pool, lake, paddle boats, fishing, about 300 sites, lots of pull thrroughs and full hookup. Pizza delivery to your site from the campstore. It was a nice campground. Sites were a good size, not too small.

Cons: Wouldn't want to be there during the busy season. Pool was small for the size of the park, and the actual swimming area was also very small. There was a large sandy beach area however. Prices were good, however went to reserve for 2008 and found they raised the prices from $37 per night to $54 and because it was a holiday weekend wanted an additional $39 booking fee. It was a nice campground but not worth $200 for 3 nights for Memorial weekend.
Nearby attractions: Lake Huron, historical Sites, nice little towns.

Further comments:

I was really disappointed in the huge rate hike, after all it's not Disney World and we bring our own camping units, no maid service. Our group liked the campground. I personally don't have any young kids that we camp with, but our friends did. The kids really like the place.
