I found out about this campground while looking for space near Starved Rock. I tent camped there in September 2007.
Describe your camping trip:
It is one of a few private campgrounds offering primitive camping in the area. It is right off the highway. You can see the gas station from inside the forest.
Pros: It was clean enough.
Cons: Staff drove through our site constantly, up until after 11 pm. Not once did they even say hi. If they didn't find anything to yell at us about, they said nothing. If they could find a rule broken, such as hanging a garbage bag on a tree or taking a dog off its leash, they gave orders in the vein of "do this, or you're out of here!" The customer is always wrong around this place, even though all we came to do was sit around a campfire and relax after a day of hiking. I might expect treatment like that, if I was 18, but I'm pushing 30.

Further comments:
The staff ruins any chance of a good time.
