I found out about this campground from reading reviews on the Internet, and I RV camped there in September 2007.
Describe your camping trip:
This RV park is like a little bit of heaven. We were greeted warmly by our host and hostess and shown to an RV like we've never seen before. A concrete parking pad and patio overlooking miles of Blue Ridge mountains and the French Broad River. The view was spectacular. The park is immaculate, bathrooms sparkling clean, gorgeous landscaping, and lots of trails to explore. Don't miss this one. TRry to get sites P1 through P5. You won't believe the vistas in the am and pm.
Pros: It's tucked away half-way up the mountain, peaceful, quiet and spotless.
Cons: none
Cons: none
Nearby attractions: The Biltmore, Chimney Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway, lots of crafts, kayaking on the French Broad River.
Further comments:
We've camped up and down the eastern seaboard, and there's nothing quite like this. Lots of other friendly campers and managers that make you feel right at home and willing to help in any way. This one is a gem.
