I found out about this campground searching the Internet for New Hampshire campgrounds in the White Mountains, Mt Washington Valley area near all the attractions and outlet shopping. I RV camped there in September 2007.
Describe your camping trip:
Right on Route 16, so no trouble locating the campground by its large yellow road sign (next to a bakery with yummy pastries). Lots of flowers and attractive plants outside the office make it welcoming and very friendly. Quick check in by attentive staff, who knew lots about surrounding attractions and directions to good hiking trails. We hads a pull through site with 50 amp electric, water, sewer, cable and great Wi-Fi. Large pull through without trees or obstructions. Very easy pull in/out experience. Quiet at night with all fires out at a reasonable hour. Huge sandy beach to play on and kayak from.
Pros: Large, clean, well-maintained, lots of young families, paved roads, quiet at night, good facilities and well-trained staff.
Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Conway Scenic Railroad, Pirate's Cove Miniature Golf, Storyland, lots of tax-free outlet shopping and lots of restaurants.
Further comments:
We enjoyed the campground and made reservations for 2008 before we left.

"We stayed here for four days in 2009. We have a large camper and requested a site with full hook ups. Upon arriving the woman working behind the counter was not very friendly. We got to our site which was in the middle of a field and squished between two other campers with no trees or anything. We felt bad because our sewer pipe ran right along the table/chairs of the camper next to us. We had several problems with our site. First, the sewer hook up was a different size - none of the different adapters we had would fit but we were able to fanagle something. Second, the outlet for the electricity was different and required a special plug. When we asked at the office for one the woman was rude and told us we would have to wait until someone else checked out becuase they did not have enough for all of the camp sites. It was incredibly hot, we were in the middle of the field with no shade and wanted to run the ac. the woman told us to go to walmart and buy one ourselves. Also, the water spout had a crack in it and leaked which annoyed our neighbors. The water pressure was very high and kept setting off the pressure protector on the camper which we ended up having to remove in order to have any water. Another camper told us the water pressure at his site was so strong it made the pipes burst and damaged the interior of his camper. We reserved and paid for a site with cable. Upon setting up we had to make yet another trip to the office to request the cable to hook up from their connection to the camper. Why they didn't just give that to us at check in I don't know. The pool was small and the water was green. The bottom of the pool was covered with sand. They advertise free wi-fi but myself and other campers I spoke with could not get it to work. It was incredibly slow, and pages would not load. When I asked at the camp store the lady said she didn't know anything about it and didn't seem to care. The kids did have a good time. It has a very nice beach right on the saco river which was great for the little kids to play and swim in. I might recommend this to someone camping in a tent - but those sites also had no trees and no privacy between them."
