Hershey Conewago Campground, Elizabethtown, PennsylvaniaCampground Review from PamGuide Rating - ![]() I found out about this campground in Woodall's Campground Directory, and I RV camped there in October 2007. Describe your camping trip:We have been camping for over 20 years and staying at Hershey Conewago Campground was absolutely one of the worst and most expensive places I've ever camped. The price was $34.50 for 2 people with just water/elec. Then another $6.00 per additional adult. I took my mom, son and daughter-in-law with me, so it came to $52.50 a night. I've got campsites reserved at Fort Wilderness in Disney World cheaper then this. Full hook-up and they clean the pad you're camped on everyday. They stuck us back in the corner with what appeared to be storage units. I don't understand why they had to charge me $18.00 more to park in that crummy spot, because my family was sleeping with me. They didn't have to wash more sheets or cleanup. When we pulled out, the spot looked the same, whether 2 or 5 people sleeped in my motorhome. I would like to think that if I had a business and wanted to charge for additional adults that I would be reasonable and have returning customers. Then to be expensive, get what I could on the customers first visit and them not come back. Which, by the way, is exactly what is happening.Pros: It was close to Hershey Park. In my opinion, this is the only thing this campground has going for it. Cons: Too expensive, some crummy spots. Nearby attractions: Hershey Park Further comments:I've crossed them out of my camping book, and my daughter, who was also camping with me, and I agree we will not go back. Once was too much. |
