I found out about this campground on the Internet, and I tent camped there in April 2008.

Describe your camping trip:

Great little spot. More of an RV park, but as a tenter we didn't feel completely out of place.
Pros: The owners are great, and the scenery is beautiful. The boat rental on site was wonderful. The heron, snowy egret and tons of fish jumping made it idyllic.

Cons: Several permanent campers with all the lawn toys and porch gear to go with it and many people allowed their dogs to run loose and deposit wherever they liked. Also, beware all campers without toilets or showers on board. There is only one toilet and shower for the women and one for the men. Thankfully I never went to the bathroom in a hurry to find someone starting to take a shower. They say more bathrooms will be built on site in the future.

Further comments:

Fishing, swimming, smores and movies projected on our friend's Airstream trailer at night made for an unforgettable weekend.
