Big Meadow Family Campground, Townsend, TennesseeCampground Review from JoanGuide Rating - ![]() I found out about this campground through friends and the campgrounds good reputation. I RV camped there from September through November 2007. Describe your camping trip:This is a wonderful place to stay while enjoying the wonderful Smoky Mountains and fishing the streams. The owners are very accommodating to the campers needs.
Pros: The campground is very neat, friendly and hospitable. Bathrooms are extremely clean as well as the entire campground unlike many others in the area. Cons: I really could not complain about anything except the stream level was very low which they had no control over. Nearby attractions: Smoky Mountains, Cades Cove, Dollywood and Gatlinburg.
Further comments: I would certainly recommend this campground to everyone. It is much preferred over any other in the area. I will always go back there year after year.
