I found out about this campground from a friend in 1976, and I have camped there the last 32 years.

Describe your camping trip:

We have had a permanent site here for 32 years. Site 45. This is a family campground, not a party one. The sites are huge and clean. Our site is 50' X 135'. There is great fishing and golfing nearby.
Pros: White pine forest, small lake, great new pool and playground equipment, clean restrooms, great place for walking and bike riding, many excellent permanent sites available.

Cons: cons: Gravel roads, but not really a problem.
Nearby attractions: Lake Petenwell for fishing, 8 golf courses nearby, many stores for shopping and all your needs within 10 miles or less. Five camping trailer dealers nearby for all your needs.
Further comments: You will not find sites this large with grass and woods anywhere else within a 100 mile radius. We can fix our site up the way we want. We have a 40' Park Model. If you like quiet and nice neighbors, this is the place for you. Permanent sites have sewer holding tanks, which are great. This is the "up north" of central Wisconsin. In those 32 years, we went through 2 camping trailers (23' and 32'), 1 5th wheel 28', and 1 40' park model (current one). We had 3 boys and have camped since 1963. We used a total of 7 different camping units including 1 tent. The more kids left home, the bigger and nicer were the camping units. Now it's more like cottage living. We have been retired for 11 years and are enjoying camping more than we ever did. We live in Marshfield, WI, which is 45 miles from Deer Trail.
