I found out about this campground from my parents and camping here for years. I RV camped there in July 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

The best campground I ever camped at. It doesn't have all the amenities, but for privacy, wilderness environment, cool temps and a beautiful river setting, it is the best. Most all the sites are good; however, the northern end has a loud generator from a water treatment plant that is very irritating and ruins the setting. But imagine warming to a fire, listening to the sounds of wildlife next to a mountain river, and you have the peacefulness of what the Smokies and Elkmont gives you.
Pros: Everything.

Cons: A noisy generator at the water treatment plant.
Nearby attractions: Gatlinburg and all that the Smokies offer.
Further comments: A great place to camp.
