We live near this campground, and we tent camped there in August 2007.
Describe your camping trip:
This was our very first camping trip as a family, so we wanted to start somewhere close to home in case we had to leave. The campsites are so nice, and I think all of them are mostly wooded. The bathrooms aren't too far from any of them, and there are water spickets throughout to fill up your jugs. There is a very nice nature trail by the lake and a small one by the campgrounds. The lake has a vary long shore line you can walk along, but swimming is only in the designated area. The camp store is well stocked. The kids liked getting ice cream there, and mom and dad liked getting coffee there. They also have laundry facilities and a playground.
Pros: Mostly everything. They do offer pet free camping areas for those who have children afraid of dogs. Most parks don't offer that.
Cons: The beach was far enough that you probably would want to get in your car and drive, if you are lugging a lot of stuff. We did walk once, but didn't bring much.

Nearby attractions: Hamlin Beach
Further comments: We camped three nights and didn't want to leave.
