We have been surfing at the Leo Carrillo beach for 20 years. We tent camped there in October 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

This campground offers large tree shaded sites, friendly rangers and clean restrooms. It is a short walk under Pacific Coast Highway to the beach.
Pros: The beach is so fun. Anytime of year, kids can play in the tide pools and see the sea life up close.

Cons: A little crowded during the summer and hard to get a reservation.
Nearby attractions: Malibu Pier, Point Mugu campground and lots of hiking trails.
