I found out about this campground from a previous visitor, and I tent camped there in April 2008.
Describe your camping trip:
My son and I camped for two nights. While checking in, we were not advised of the extra charge for children per night, even though they supposedly have activities for kids planned throughout the week. Doesn't make sense. I have been camping since I was six months old. I have had the honor of camping in some of the country's best campgrounds. While growing up I have camped in 43 of 48 continental states. I understand the safety issues of hanging clotheslines from trees, which a ranger told me to take down. However, there is a much greater safety concern with kids under the age of 12 riding their bikes around with no helmets. It's a state law in Massachusetts. There were also skate boarders hanging around the rec center, which were also not allowed. Their Web site claims their pond to be stocked with trout. I am quite surprised that bass and bluegill can survive in their quagmire.
Pros: Late Friday morning when we checked out.
Cons: I cannot list everything here. I am sending a separate letter to their management.

Nearby attractions: I live three towns away.
Further comments: Normandy Farms needs to update their Web site. They should consider eliminating the extra charge for kids or adjust their rates accordingly. If they are going to have an employee drive around their grounds checking for clotheslines, then they should have all rules enforced.
