I found out about this campground online, and I RV camped there in May 2008.
Describe your camping trip:
The campground was small. One horseshoe pit and a tiny mini-golf course.
Pros: none
Cons: Too many rules. Need quarters to take a shower. No entertainment. The swings for the kids are only a few yards away from a busy street.

Further comments: Every Mother's Day, we go camping. Each time to a different park. This camping trip was the worst. Our group of 60 people were almost the only guests staying at Tip Tam. You can bring a pet, but you can't walk it anywhere. There cannot be more than five people standing around a fire. Quiet time is 10:30, but they tell you to call it a night at 10:00. There was supposed to be a DJ dance, but the DJ cancelled weeks in advance, so there was no dance. I would not recommend staying at this park.

WE TOO WERE STAYING AT TIP TAM CAMPING RESORT ON THAT MOTHERSDAY WEEKEND AND WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE AMENITIES THEY HAD AT THE PARK. CLEAN RESTROOMS WITH COIN-OP SHOWERS WHICH WERE EXPLAINED TO US THAT THEY WERE ON A GREEN PROGRAM TO CONSERVE WATER AND IT SEEMS TO BE THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO GET PEOPLE TO SAVE WATER, THERE WAS PLENTY OF HOT WATER TOO. WE HAVE BEEN TO OTHER CAMPGROUNDS WHERE THE SHOWERS WERE FREE BUT THERE WAS NEVER ANY HOT WATER OR YOU COULD GO IN SOMETIMES AND FIND THE WATER RUNNING WITH NOONE IN THE SHOWER AREA. THEY HAVE TWO CLEAN WELL MAINTAINED PLAYGROUNDS, MINIATURE GOLF ONE HORSESHOE PIT, BOCCI BALL COURT, HANDBALL WALL, SOFTBALL AREA, SHUFFLE BOARD COURT, BASKETBALL COURT, AND A VOLLEYBALL COURT TOO. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPED US GET OUR TENT SET UP AND EVEN MOVE OUR STUFF ON SATURDAY MORNING AFTER WE WERE RUDELY KEPT UP ALL NIGHT BY A LOUD GROUP THAT WAS TOTALLY INEBRIATED. THE STAFF AND OWNERS TRIED THEIR BEST TO QUIET THE FAMILIES DOWN OR SHOULD I SAY PARTIERS WITH KIDS. I COMMEND THE OWNERS AND SYMPATHIZE WITH THEM FOR WHAT THAT RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS GROUP PUT THEM THROUGH. THEY ALSO GAVE US A FREE NIGHT FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE AND YES WE WENT BACK ANOTHER TIME AND WILL BE GOING BACK THIS YEAR TOO. HOPEFULLY WHEN THEY HAVE THEIR 2 SWIMMING POOLS OPEN AFTER MEMORIAL DAY."" ONCE AGAIN I COMMEND TIP TAM AND THEIR STAFF FOR MAKING MY STAY A FRIENDLY FUN ONE EVEN AFTER THE SO CALLED CAMPING GROUP TRIED TO RUIN EVERYONES WEEKEND. AAA++++"
