We found out about this campground via the Internet. We have been RV camping there since 1999.
Describe your camping trip:
Delightful. I never have camped before, and we had this old-old camper. We got to the campground around 10:00 pm. We had never used the camper before, so all things that could go wrong did. Rob the campground owner was there to help us without even asking. I guess my husband's attitude gave us away. We walked around the campground and decided with what we had seen the place was for us. Sharon let us know what sites were seasonal. We picked one and have been there ever since. We are extremely happy with the campground and the owners.
Pros: We have been treated like family ever since we first stepped foot in Deer Trail Park. There are fun things for the kids to do including mini-golf, pool, playground, volley ball and another golf game we have never played.
Cons: We can't be there every weekend. We live 3-1/2 hours away, and there are times that we cannot make it there.

Nearby attractions: Wisconsin Rapids is a town very close to the campground. This town has everything that you would want or need. There is Trail's End, great eating establishment. You can fish off the side of the road or you can go to the flowage. There on the flowage is water skiing, jet skiing and, of course, fishing.
Further comments: Sharon and Rob were going to sell at one time. When we heard about it, we started looking for another campground. We did not find anything like what we have. This year they put in a new pool. They have a race track for the kids and the older kids (adults) to play. We have seasonal picnics that are outstanding. Good food, good friends and owners who make you feel like family. Why would we want to go any where else?
