I found out about this campground on the Internet, and I tent camped there in May 2008.

Describe your camping trip:

Located less than an hour north of Baltimore near Havre de Grace, MD along the Susquehanna River. Two camping loops - one with electric/hook-ups and one without.
Pros: Pretty locations, well maintained, clean, nice staff, proximity to river (fishing, paddling, etc.), hiking/biking trails.

Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Historic sites on the grounds including a working grist mill.

Pros and ConsJuly 05, 2009By Nicoleetal
"We stayed two years in a row at Susquehanna with friends. Sites 29 and 30 and great for tents because they are very private. They also have a short path through the woods to the playground, so it is easy to walk to the playground with the kids. Dogs allowed in these sites and on all hiking trails. Dog friendly park. The park did not offer much for entertainment - one session the one year on edible plants which bored my children. The park does offer hikes, historic areas and water sports. We enjoyed driving to the dam and hiking along the water. Very easy, wide, flat path - could possibly even take a stroller. Con - the bathrooms are not clean that our sites were close to. Thousands of daddy long leg spiders, and a nightmare inducing shower. MD state parks are not allowing alcohol in campgrounds starting 2010. We won't be back."
