I found out about this campground in Salt Lake City tourist information, and I RV camped there in May 2008.

Describe your camping trip:

Clean, well maintained and new campground. We traveled within three weeks from Seattle to Salt Lake City.
Pros: Cheaper than the KOA, has everthing you need, new, clean.

Cons: Arrogant owner. Only one centralized barbecue possibility far away from the RV site. No shade, noise directly next to the highway, smell of nearby oil dump, disappointing tilted sites, difficult to level the RV.
Nearby attractions: Salt Lake City, Island State Park, Park City.

"We have been here since October of 2008. We heard about this place when we stayed at the KOA, which we wont EVER stay there again. The Pony Express RV resort is one of the cleanest we have stayed in. The people who work here are so nice and will go out of the way to help with anything. They did have some construction going on, but it wasnt ever that bad. As for the smell, its not all the oil plants. Its from the Great Salt Lake. Its never that bad. The bathrooms are always clean. The park is always clean. No trash blowing around. And its safe for families. They dont let anyone in who would be a threat to young kids. As for the power, they had to turn it off to fix it. Some people were having problems. Its very close to the city without being right downtown with all the traffic. I will always recommend this place and will always come back when we stay in Salt Lake."
