I've known about this campground for about 35 years, and I tent camped there in June 2008.
Describe your camping trip:
We were in group campsite #4. I was camping with a group of 22 from my hiking club.
Pros: Lots of tent sites for maximum privacy of campers. Very pretty with many trees, picnic tables and fire pits. Rest rooms are clean and nearby. Stream that is fun to play in and safe is nearby. The group campsites are much nicer than the main campground, because you have more room and privacy.
Cons: Can't think of any except it is a long drive.
Cons: Can't think of any except it is a long drive.
Nearby attractions: Cades Cove loop road for beauty, animals, biking. Lots and lots of great hiking trails very close. Ranger programs in summer.
Further comments: Nice convenience store with souvenirs, snacks and ice cream. Kids will like to go there in the evening.
