I have camped there for 10 years. It used to be my favorite, but now it is has slipped way down on my list. I tent camped there in June 2008.
Describe your camping trip:
Compressors and generators running all night cutting on and off, although they are prohibited. Sites so close you could hear several snoring in other sites.
Pros: Mountain top camping.
Cons: One rest room has been closed for years, none of the outlets in the rest rooms work, again they have been out for years. When I first camped here it was $12 a night and everything worked, now it is $16 a night and nothing works. No showers hot or cold, camp store way over priced, and they carry very few camping supplies. Plus they charge a $.15 deposit on plastic bottles. A 20 oz coke will cost $2 with tax and deposit.

Nearby attractions: Blue Ridge Parkway.
Further comments: If you like being watched over by mom and dad, this is the campground for you. Expect to see the rangers in your camp often, just checking to make sure you haven't broken any rules.
