I found out about this campground in the provincial park guide, and I've RV camped there every year since 2000.
Describe your camping trip:
I read another review (by Michelle I believe). Either she went to a different Grundy Lake or she wants others to think it is awful, so no one else will go. Grundy Lake has consistently been an excellent campground. Sites well-maintained, services good, people (campers and staff) mostly friendly, great place for biking, hiking and swimming, close to Killarney and its delights, close to Sudbury, great general store outside park, etc.
Pros: It is a great all-round park. Great for adults and children (including teens). Good park programs.
Cons: Worst problem is people related. Adults and teens alike who do not respect the noise limit after eleven at night. People who litter or don't clean up after themselves.

Nearby attractions: Killarney Provincial Park, French River Interpretive Centre, Sudbury [Science North (science museum with IMAX), Dynamic Earth (geology and mining), Chapters bookstore, and other shopping].
Further comments: Michelle's negative comments centerd on what campers have done. I have never ever in our many years witnessed such at Grundy Lake. I have at other parks (usually private ones). The lakes are clean, good for swimming, etc. Good indicator is that loons still live on the lakes there. Loons like a good habitat. She also complained about the mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are a part of camping, like it or not. You find ways to deal with them or don't go. They are not as bad as I have found in the southern US, but I would still go to the south. And anytime something bugs us humans, you can't go kill it off. If we did that, honestly, what would be left on this earth? I commend the park staff for their care of Grundy Lake and the excellent park programs. We leave for Grundy in a few days. Everyone (adults, teens and dog) are excited. If you come to Grundy, please take care of this precious jewel.
