I found out about this campground on the Internet, and I RV camped there in August 2008.
Describe your camping trip:
Looked good on first appearance, however information given us by office was wrong, sites were small, mixed, dogs ran wild and barked, and kids shouting.
Pros: Lots of trees.
Cons: I was told all sites were 11 x 60 concrete pads. There was no concrete, only fine gravel, which tracked everywhere. Sites are small, barely spitting distance from neighbors, so no privacy. Tenters and RVs are mixed together with dogs running around barking and lots of children running and shouting. Definitely no sleeping in. Our site was difficult to get into because of small size, angle from road, and culvert edge sticking up.

Nearby attractions: Bike paths, fishing.
Further comments: First time in Illinois State Parks. I would not stay here again even though it's fairly close to home. What a difference compared to Indiana's State Parks.
