I found out about this campground on the Internet, and I RV camped there Labor Day weekend 2008.

Describe your camping trip:

I was so pumped for our family weekend at Hartt Island. It was supposed to be the highlight of our summer.
Pros: none

Cons: The staff did not explain any of the amenities or layout of the campground. We did not get the lot we had asked for. We were slotted in an area right on the roadway, With a new puppy, no way. They did move us, but they did not want to. It is very expensive to do the activities. The waterslides need updating. The mats to use on the slide were disgusting and old. The bathrooms were disgusting with flies and toilet paper everywhere.
Nearby attractions:
Further comments: We paid for three nights ahead. I wish we had not. I guess at the end of the season maybe no one cares. Bring lots of money to go to Hartt Island. I will go someplace else next year, unless I get a bathroom in my trailer. Don't expect the showers to be hot. They were just a little trickle of water. I should have just bathed in my trailer.
