I found out about this campground on their Web site, and I tent camped there in August 2008.

Describe your camping trip:

We stayed in a tent in site 224, at the end of road 2 in the East River section. There were many families in our area, which was nice for the kids.
Pros: Arrowhead is a lovely campground. We had a large private site, conveniently close to washrooms (showers were a bit of a walk). The park rents canoes and kayaks. The lake is great for swimming. There is good programming for kids. A small, but well-equipped store is within the park premises, and Huntsville is close by.

Cons: At this time, a boil water advisory is in effect for giardia. If you have a large water container you can easily fill it safely in nearby Huntsville. The Huntsville water treatment facility is open 24 hours a day, and it is just a few minutes away.
Nearby attractions: Huntsville
Further comments: At least one bear is living within park boundaries, which means you must keep all food in a car when not actively cooking, and small children should not roam the park unescorted.
