I found out about this campground by luck, and I tent camp here every year.

Describe your camping trip:

Secluded peninsula that sticks out into a bay on Lake Ontario. Beautiful sites, not many trees, but the sites are large and flat. Some close to the water are very small and rocky, others are gorgeous.
Pros: Sites right on the water are killer. Good fishing, lots of perch, especially near the shore. Docks for boats of all kinds. Some of the best stars I've seen at night, and even in the dead of summer, there's a gentle breeze that keeps the bugs away.

Cons: Bathrooms weren't the best I've used, but certainly weren't the worst either. Hot showers, very family friendly place. Swings, sandbox and a small playground, but not much. Plenty of shallow water activities in the lake for little ones.
Nearby attractions: Not much, which is the best part. Twenty minutes to the nearest kwiki-mart, 1000-Islands is a half hour away.
Further comments: We camp here every year. You need reservations six months in advance to get waterfront.
