I found out about this campground from my auto mechanic and friend, and I camped there in September, October 2008.

Describe your camping trip:

The campground is on the small side with level sites, mostly older generation that come back the same time every year. Some have been camping there for 15 years. Great view of the Amish countryside, very clean rest rooms (a plus), clean free hot showers. The owners are very friendly and great to get along with. In fact, we found everyone that camped there very friendly.
Pros: The people, quiet after required time, no heavy drinking, and no barking dogs. Actually, I cannot say enough about this campground. We made a lot of new friends and will be returning for another two weeks in 2009, God willing.

Cons: I cannot say anything bad about this campground.
Nearby attractions: The town of Intercourse with all the shops and markets that are mostly run by the Amish. Great restaurants with a Christian atmosphere. My favorite is the Centerville bulk food store.
Further comments: I would recommend any camper to camp here, if you can find a space. Most of the campers that camp here come back the same week year after year.

Peaceful and relaxing, Member ltkacik

My fiance and I stayed at Beacon Hill Campground in one of their cabins, and it was a beautiful stay. The cabins are adorable, they contain a bed, table, two stools, mini-fridge, window AC unit, lights, ceiling fan, and porch with glider, picnic table and fire ring outside. As it is a 16-and-over campground, there was no excessive noise or children running around. It was quiet and peaceful. The bathrooms were very clean, as were the cabins. The owners were very polite and helpful, they gave us a map of the area and recomended several stores to check out. It was a lovely experience that I wouldn't mind repeating.
