I found out about this campground in a Camp Club book, and I RV camped there in October 2008.
Describe your camping trip:
We intended to stay one night, but stayed over for two. Well maintained and customer service was great. Clean with fishing pond, paved roads and pads.
Pros: Everything seemed just right. Former hunting club site for Andy Griffith of Mayberry.
Cons: A little out of the way, but good roads.
Cons: A little out of the way, but good roads.
Nearby attractions: The Outer Banks of North Carolina, town of Elizabeth City, canal fishing.
Further comments: They have a motel, rental cabins, rental apartments and camping store, as well as level campsites with hookups.
