I found out about this campground through word of mouth, and I RV camped there in July 2008.
Describe your camping trip:
The campground is in a rural area on Lake Greenwood, very quiet near the small town of Cross Hill. We had no problem finding the park and blacktop roads right up to the campground. There were some shaded lots and lake front lots, but the lake front were not full service. They have water and electric. They do have a dump station in the park, so that was not a problem for us. They have activities we could participate in, and a 4th of July event that we enjoyed there was a wonderful fireworks display on the lake.
Pros: It's quiet, the sites are large and easy to get into. The lake is very nice. The management was very helpful and makes every effort to make you happy. We don't travel with a computer, but they do have wireless service if you do.
Cons: They didn't have a laundry, but told us they were going to have one next spring. It was about 10 miles to the nearest major grocery store, so stop and get food before you get to the campground. They do have a small store that had some grocery items. No pool or playground.

Nearby attractions: There are a lot of little historic towns around the area, so lots of antique stores and historic places to visit. Park Seed has a plant in nearby Greenwood, and we visited their trial gardens. My husband likes car races, and there was a track in Laurens, SC, which he really enjoyed. We took a day trip to the state capital Columbia and visited the museum and other buildings there as well as the state farmers market.
Further comments: We will put this one on our list to stay at when we are in the area again. My husband plans to come back and stay during deer hunting season, but I will stay home for that one.
