This campground was referred by a friend, and we RV camped there in May 2006, September 2007 and October 2008.
Describe your camping trip:
This is a large campground, heavily wooded. My first impression was that it was too open, because there is a field where the office and pool and playground are, but the campground itself is in the woods. Best big rig sites I have ever seen. It's off the highway, so quiet. Signs are not the best, so you have to keep your eyes open, even with the printed direction. They also have the best Web site I have ever seen. Click on a site on their campground map, and it shows you a picture of that site.
Pros: Easy to make reservations and good advice about picking out a site. Very clean, extremely quiet. Good base location to explore Door County. Wi-Fi worked at our site - free!
Cons: A little hard to find, but GPS worked great. Marginal cell phone service.

Nearby attractions: Lot of outdoor stuff. I love the trails right at the campground, but there are five state parks we explored too. Too much shopping for my wife. Great golfing and fishing. We've been there three times, the last time for a week, and still have things we want to go back and do.
Further comments: We had trouble with our motor home, and the owner crawled under it to retract a leveling jack that wouldn't come up.
