I found out about this campground on the Texas Parks and Wildlife Web site, and I RV camped there in April 2009.

Describe your camping trip:

Older interesting CCC buildings, clean and fairly private RV spots in Piney Hill. Nice trails, no fishing or open fires due to drought.
Pros: Shade, space of and in between campsites, trail to overlook was enjoyable.

Cons: Evening noise from group barracks and party at the hall after 10pm.
Nearby attractions: There is a golf course in the park and reservoir nearby.
Further comments: This was a holiday weekend, and the park was not over crowded. It may be different in the summer, as the park has a lot of available parking and a large pool.
