I found out about this campground searching Google, and I've RV camped there from May 2004 to the present.

Describe your camping trip:

I was looking for a family oriented campground with a variety of things to do at a reasonable price.
Pros: Great family park with lots of room (500 acres). Swimming, boating and fishing (2 lakes). Lots of activities (mini golf, hiking, skate park, etc.). Amenities include indoor pool, restaurant, tennis courts, laundry and pizza delivery to your site. There are music, art and special event festivals for all ages throughout the entire season. Great community environment with other families.

Cons: I thought it was pricey at first, but compared to a week in Florida, we got 26 weeks for around the same cost.
Nearby attractions: Pro Football Hall of Fame, Amish country, Ohio Erie Canal Boats, Cleveland sports (Cavs, Browns, Indians), Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
Further comments: This is a great resort for families. This will be my fifth year as a seasonal camper, and every year seems to get better.

"We have always liked the amenities at Clay's Park. The staff there is really top notch. However, the owners Peggy and Kevin have zero respect for seasonal campers, and you are not permitted to complain directly to them; otherwise, you risk being asked to leave. This year they have implemented a ticket system with fines ranging from $25 (speeding) to $100 for weeds in your garden. You are not given an opportunity to dispute because we have already paid the seasonal fee, and if you complain, you risk being asked to leave and forfeit the amount paid. Everyone I've talked to doesn't really object to the rules, but they do object to the fees and the fact that they were not announced prior to paying your seasonal package fee this year. Also, there is not an appeals process. Some rules are ambiguous and open to interpretation of the person issuing the ticket. If your site is ""cluttered"", you have another ticket. No definition of what cluttered is, just ""cluttered"". Finally, the rules only apply to the campers (over night or seasonal) but do not apply to the Clay's, off duty employees, or friends of the Clays. Many of us are going to be searching in season for other campgrounds, and we were told by current staff ... they (meaning Kevin and Peggy) are okay with that!"
