We have been going to this campground for about six years. I read about it in a Vermont camp guide, and we tent camped there in August 2008.

Describe your camping trip:

the campground is surrounded by a reservoir. There is a hiking trail that leads up to what used to be a farming community, old sawmill and cemeteries. I had mentioned we have been going there for six years. We have enjoyed ourselves every time. One trip that stands out is our last minute camping trip. We got up on a Saturday in August and decided to go for one night. We got there just in time to sit up a tent when it rained. We spent most of our time in the screen house. The fire was going despite the rain. We even walked around the campground in the rain. This was a most memorable trip. It was actually the most relaxing camping trip despite the rain.
Pros: We have been here so much we actually got to know the park staff. Everything is very good at this campground. The park staff takes pride in this campground. It is a very clean campground. They have been voted park of the year.

Cons: There is nothing bad about this campground.
Nearby attractions: Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory, day use state park, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Cabot, Lake Champlain Chocolates, Van Trapp family lodge, Stowe, Green Mountain Club (long trail) and Smugglers Notch.
Further comments: I've been to quite a few campgrounds, but I keep coming back to Little River State Park. Little River State Park is such an awesome campground that we planned all our camping trips this summer up there.
