I researched the area via Indiana State Web site, and I reserved it through Reserve America. I camped there in June 2009.
Describe your camping trip:
Summit Lake State Park has 125 sites. They appeared to me as either full sun or full shade, depending upon the site. I would guess that 3/4 of the sites are full sun.
Pros: Very clean, not crowded. Ranger was very helpful. Our campsite was spacious. Our site backed up to the lake, where you could pull your boat up onshore.
Cons: Water hook-ups were about 50 feet away. I didn't have enough hose, but I will buy a longer one.
